This animation by computer artist Glenn Marshall was created entirely with machine learning and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). It is a work-in-progress based on the Peter Gabriel song of the same name.
GANs is the latest in artificial intelligence whereby the computer is trained to analyse thousands of selected images (e.g. fine art, microscopic photography) and then create brand new images based on its understanding. Every frame in this video is a unique, generative piece of art or photograph.
